Rapper Lil Durk states he is taking some time off to recover after being hurt by a pyrotechnic at the Lollapalooza event in Chicago.
The 29-year-old was playing to a crowd of thousands when a smoke bomb went off in his face on Saturday evening.
In fan-captured video clip, he was seen astonishing backwards from the device and cleaning his eyes with a tee shirt.
Although he finished the performance, Lil Durk later on posted an image from medical facility with a patch over one eye.
" Because of the incident that happened at Lollapalooza in Chicago on phase, I' ma pause & focus on my health and wellness," he captioned the photo on Instagram.
" I finished my performance the other day for my followers. Value y' all.".
Lil Durk has more than 20 US excursion dates scheduled before completion of the year. It is not yet clear how many of those performances will be influenced.
Lollapalooza has not discussed the incident, which came as Lil Durk was performing the track Back In Blood during his early evening collection join ustrending .
