Lil Durk is relaxing after stage surge

Rap artist Lil Durk says he is taking some time off to recover after being injured by a pyrotechnic at the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago.

When a smoke bomb went off in his face on Saturday evening, the 29-year-old was playing to a crowd of thousands.

In fan-captured video, he was seen astonishing backwards from the gadget and wiping his eyes with a t-shirt.

Although he ended up the performance, Lil Durk later on uploaded a photo from healthcare facility with a patch over one eye.

" As a result of the case that occurred at Lollapalooza in Chicago on stage, I' ma relax & focus on my health," he captioned the picture on Instagram.

" I finished my performance yesterday for my followers. Value y' all.".

Lil Durk has greater than 20 United States trip dates set up prior to completion of the year. It is not yet clear how many of those performances will be affected.

Lollapalooza has not discussed the event, which came as Lil Durk was performing the track Back In Blood during his early evening set.

"That one came a little close. It shot directly up.".

Lil Durk took a few minutes to gather himself before continuing his performance. "Say goodbye to smoke, let's do it," he told the packed group, according to Web page Six.

The drill star scored his second United States leading in March, with his 7th workshop cd 7220. The record included his largest hit to day, Broadway Girls, with country singer Morgan Wallen.

Their partnership raised a few brows, as Wallen had actually been embroiled in conflict after a video arised revealing him shouting the N-word outside his home in Nashville.

The vocalist was momentarily suspended by his record tag and also banned by a number of country music television and also radio terminals.

Lil Durk later defended Wallen, claiming he was "not a racist" as well as had "just slipped up".
